What You’ll Do

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities across all project phases, ensuring goals and objectives are met within prescribed timelines and budgets.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, meeting with owners to establish project scope and proactively resolving any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop accurate project estimates and budgets. Prepare bids, work orders, contracts, and purchase orders while ensuring clear scope of work and minimizing company risk.
  • Develop and manage critical path schedules, coordinating activities with subcontractors and staff to ensure timely project completion. Identify potential delays and take action to keep the project on track.
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign responsibilities, and provide technical guidance. Foster a collaborative, problem-solving approach on the job site.
  • Complete necessary close-out documentation including cost accounting, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, payment applications, and post-job reviews.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance. Maintain a positive safety culture on the job site.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in construction management, engineering, construction technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, with project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills to manage multiple, simultaneous projects ranging from $20,000 to $5 million+.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust.
  • A commitment to excellence, personal integrity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Timberline, Procore, and/or related construction management software systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements, building codes, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Commercial interior renovation and build-out experience, particularly in Class A office environments.
  • Experience in adjacent markets.

Travel

Occasional travel to job sites and project locations may be required, including overnight stays based on project needs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position requires both office and field work.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to operate a computer and other office equipment, and communicate effectively.
  • The position occasionally requires walking, standing, bending, or reaching during job site visits.
  • The employee must be able to safely navigate active construction sites, which may involve uneven terrain, ladders, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.
  • Periodic visits to construction sites are required, where the employee may be exposed to typical construction hazards including noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
