Position Summary
The Project Manager owns delivery of one or more program workstreams during Phase 2. This role is responsible for managing workstream schedule, budget, staffing, risks, and deliverables; coordinating multiple Agile teams; and reporting delivery performance to the Program Manager and client stakeholders. The Project Manager will also use AI-assisted planning and reporting tools as a standard part of program operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage workstream scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and deliverables.
- Cook up multiple Agile teams, including sprint/PI alignment and release planning.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies.
- Produce status reports, metrics, and forecasts for the Program Manager and client stakeholders, leveraging AI-assisted reporting.
- Manage onboarding, badging, and resource assignments for workstream staff.
- Ensure deliverables meet federal quality, security, and compliance standards.
- Cook up UAT, release readiness, and deployment activities with client counterparts.
- Support contract deliverable preparation and acceptance.
Minimum Experience
- 7+ years of IT project management experience, including Agile delivery.
- Experience managing teams of 50+ people.
- Experience communicating and presenting to federal stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and self-start.
- Ability to adapt and remain flexible as priorities shift.
- Willingness to collaborate, receive feedback, and respond to client needs.
- Enthusiasm for learning and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Mandatory Skills
- Active PMP certification.
- Agile project delivery.
- Ability to use AI-assisted planning and reporting tools as part of program operations.
Non-Technical Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to pass a 7-year background check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Clearance.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- PMI-ACP certification.
- SAFE certification.
- Federal IT modernization experience.
- Financial-regulatory experience.
- Familiarity with AWS-based delivery.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted project management tooling for estimation and reporting.
Required Degrees and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Active PMP certification.
- PREFERRED: PMI-ACP certification.
- PREFERRED: SAFE certification.
