About the role
The Project Manager ensures projects are delivered with integrity, high quality, on-time, and within budget using PMI-based project management principles and Lean Six-Sigma practices. This role focuses on customer satisfaction for both external and internal customers, utilizing excellent communication skills and lean principles.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, execute, and control unique lean manufacturing projects with customers and internal stakeholders using Mission Control and Microsoft Project scheduling tools.
- Read, understand, and execute projects according to contract documents and the AEH Quality Management System (QMS), including high-documentation government projects with liquidated damage penalties.
- Lead internal teams and external vendors with clear, positive communication, including kickoff and hyper-care meetings with documented agendas and minutes.
- Identify, document, and control engineering submittal approvals, change orders, risks, and opportunities per the QMS.
- Validate material and resource availability to meet production schedules and delivery commitments, resolving shortages to uphold contracted timelines.
- Monitor and control project costs and expenditure schedules to ensure projects stay within budget.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager or Scheduler.
- EPC experience, including navigating complex logistics, strict bidding processes, and fast-tracked procurement of long-lead items.
- Experience managing projects in a ‘lean’ manufacturing environment with a QMS.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and implement creative solutions to complex problems.
- Proficiency in PMI-based project management principles and tools for active schedule management.
- Ability to work independently or in a team, minimizing and resolving conflict effectively.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Customer-service focused with a commitment to positive interpersonal relationships.
Qualifications
- Microsoft Office experience required, with advanced Excel skills.
- Microsoft Project scheduling experience required; Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) experience is a plus.
- Desired: Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
- Desired: PMP or CAPM Certification.
- Desired: Green Belt (or higher) Lean Six-Sigma certification.
- Desired: LEAN Manufacturing Experience.
Skills
- Project scheduling and execution using Microsoft Project and Mission Control.
- Contract and QMS compliance, including high-documentation government projects.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite position with 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, and occasional travel.

Pay
$90,000–$130,000 yearly salary.
