Project Manager

Directly reports to: Senior Project Manager
Location: 2401 Back Acre Circle, Mt. Airy, MD 21771
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall successful execution, management, profitability, and timely completion of their assigned construction projects. They also ensure their Assistant Project Manager(s) receive appropriate training and have the skills to perform their work.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial aspects of projects through ongoing job forecasting and budgeting
• Oversee pre-construction meetings to ensure successful handoff from estimating to field
• Set clear goals and expectations for foremen
• Negotiate and resolve all customer concerns
• Estimate change orders for assigned projects
• Manage all job closeout procedures
• Conduct post-project reviews to determine areas for future improvement
• Provide coaching and counseling to foremen and Assistant Project Managers
• Develop and maintain a network of professional relationships within the industry

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in a Project Management role
• Field experience preferred, but not required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Outlook email & calendar
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to work as a team and individually with a positive and professional attitude
• Capable multitasker able to execute multiple tasks effectively

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
