Responsibilities
- Review project proposal or plan to determine: Time frame, Funding limitations, Procedures for accomplishing project, Staffing requirements, Allotment of available resources to various phases
- Confer with project staff to: Outline workplan, Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure: Project progresses on schedule, Project stays within prescribed budget
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required
- Prepare project reports for management, client, or others
- Education/Experience: Four-year college or university program certificate; or Two to four years related experience/training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction project management
- Experience managing projects with budgets over $10 million
- Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations; Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals; Ability to present and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and general public
- Mathematical Skills: Probability and statistical inference, Geometry and trigonometry, Fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling software
- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems timely, Gathers and analyzes information, Develops alternative solutions, Works well in group problem-solving, Uses reason even in emotional topics
