Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing and respected construction team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of projects, including ground-up construction, commercial renovations, interior fit-outs, municipal projects, K-12 facilities, and building additions. As a key leader, you will oversee projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction projects from planning through completion.
- Oversee superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasting plans.
- Ensure all projects meet company standards for safety, quality, and performance.
- Review plans, specifications, and submittals to define project scope and procurement needs.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contract documentation, and project correspondence.
- Coordinate project resources, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Negotiate change orders and pricing while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Identify and resolve field challenges to keep projects progressing efficiently.
- Lead project planning efforts, including means, methods, scheduling, and execution strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing construction projects.
- Proven experience overseeing subcontractors, project schedules, budgets, and contract administration.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and jobsite safety compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook, and standard construction management software.
- Ability to travel to project sites within approximately 1.5 hours of the Albany area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with ground-up commercial construction, renovations, additions, and interior fit-outs.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors on large-scale projects.
- Background working on municipal, public sector, or hard-bid projects.
- Strong estimating, budgeting, and change order negotiation experience.

Work Environment
This position combines office-based project management with regular visits to active construction sites. We are looking for self-motivated professionals who take ownership of their work, communicate effectively, and are passionate about delivering successful projects.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $120,000.00 – $140,000.00/year. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
