Project Manager
We are seeking a Project Manager to assist the Senior Project Manager with administrative tasks during the design, pre-construction, and construction phases of project management.
About the role
This role involves managing scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, the bidding process, and overseeing the work of the design team. Candidates must be able to work independently with minimal oversight. The work environment consists of an office setting with occasional on-site visits to projects. The office-to-field ratio is approximately 80/20.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with the Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.
- Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
- Review drawings for accuracy and completeness.
- Assemble miscellaneous details necessary for preparing job bid proposals.
- Develop relationships with subcontractors and interact with them to secure necessary information for job bids.
- Support the Project Manager in collecting information for the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report.
- Assist with projecting and adhering to job budget and timing of tasks.
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and addressing issues.
- Control project costs by recommending expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
- Travel to job site locations when necessary to review progress and provide solutions to challenges.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain project database by updating construction systems.
- Be available to support the Project Manager in answering any customer inquiries.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects.
- Manage implementation and management of HVAC equipment projects, ensuring accountability for assigned projects' scope, schedule, etc.
- Manage a portfolio of projects, including both smaller and larger multi-building or complex construction projects.
- Manage project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, establishing customer expectations, and identifying risks with mitigation plans.
- Compare estimated ship dates with contractor’s project schedule, ensuring compliance with internal equipment ordering processes.
- Maintain accuracy of forecasted cost at completion and control expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.
Requirements
- Project management experience in construction and commercial construction.
- Mechanical construction experience.
- Experience with HVAC, mechanical engineering, project engineering, estimation, project scheduling.
- Ability to manage RFIs, submittals, mechanical, electrical, construction documents, change orders, project coordination, blueprint, and document control.
- Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Experience with project schedules and PM construction software.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management/Science Degree.
- Experience interfacing with executives of a Fortune 500 company.
- Exposure to state-of-the-art data centers.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.08/hr.
