About the role

The Project Manager – Architecture at Thomas Ranch (an Areté Collective Development) leads architectural projects from concept through completion. This role serves as the primary client liaison, promoting collaboration, anticipating challenges, and maintaining accountability for schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary client contact for assigned projects, building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Built and maintain strong working relationships with consultants, contractors, and jurisdictional agencies.
  • Create design fee estimates and proposals, and negotiate consultant scope, schedules, and fees.
  • Develop project schedules, coordinate team assignments, and keep project plans current.
  • Oversee preparation and review of presentations and deliverables, ensuring code compliance and constructability.
  • Promote a productive team environment and mentor junior staff.
  • Maintain project financials and adjust plans to support overall project performance.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.
  • Support marketing and business development efforts that advance firm objectives.

Requirements

  • Accredited degree in Architecture required; master’s degree preferred.
  • 7 to 9 years of architectural design and project management experience.
  • Architectural licensure preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite, project planning software, and Monday.com or similar tools.
  • Experience with luxury residential communities preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings and site visits.
  • Collaborative and creative approach to project delivery.
  • Remain flexible and manage multiple projects at different stages of development simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized; offers excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, holidays, and weekends as business or project needs require.
