About the role

The Simulator Development & Integration team at Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of advanced simulation training tools for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP).

Responsibilities

• Supporting project work planning activities, including defining trainer scope and associated functional requirements, cost estimating, schedule and budget development, and risk identification
• Soliciting, placing, and overseeing subtier supplier contracts
• Maintaining project progress and performance against plans and initiating corrective actions as needed
• Executing schedule and assigned budget resources
• Interfacing with project stakeholders, internal and external to the Program
• Identifying and implementing solutions to resolve challenges and minimize project impacts
• Ensuring project results meet scope, schedule, cost, and technical quality requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Periodic travel to other NNPP and subtier supplier sites

Skills

• Program or project management experience within a technical business
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team building skills
• Experience with new project startup, technical writing, cost estimating, and subtier supplier oversight
• Experience defining, implementing, and managing project infrastructure (integrated plans, resource management, schedule management, risk management, change control, and status reporting)
• Ability to team and solve complex problems across organizations
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments for all aspects of work with minimal direction from management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with management and interfacing organizations
• Experience with Primavera P6
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Project Management Professional certification
