Project Manager 2
About the role
MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Project Manager to support the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in the execution of its mission, including providing technical, programmatic management, environmental planning and logistics support services.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate requirements and provide program planning and direction for the DoD (US Navy).
- Coordinate necessary facility and resource planning based on the current and needed capability and capacity of the NNSA weapons production complex.
- Provide guidance to support the development of new or revised policies, requirements, and procedures for US compatibility assessment, qualification, production, and procurement activities.
- Interface with design agency and production agency senior program leadership personnel to ensure clear understanding of programmatic commitments and performance status.
- Ensure nuclear weapons complex integration in support of weapon program commitments and deliverables, and be accountable to NNSA, US Navy, and UK senior leadership for performance and achievement of programmatic commitments.
- Independently provide appropriate coordination and interpretation of NNSA guidance, develop new initiatives in support of established program objectives, and be considered an expert regarding the assigned program.
Requirements
- Current, active DOE Q Clearance/Top Secret Clearance with ability to acquire SCI.
- Bachelor’s degree in management or business-related field.
- Equivalent to seven (7) years of government experience in relevant experience.
- Superior communication, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in project management or PMP Certification.
Skills
Experience-driven guidance, coordination, interpretation of NNSA guidance, development of new initiatives, and expertise regarding the assigned program.

Pay
Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
