About the role
The Project Manager works closely with the Sales team and Shared Services teams to fulfill client needs and help build client relationships. This role requires outstanding communication, multitasking, proactivity, and organization. You must track project progress, stay alert for risks, and resolve issues while balancing the larger landscape with granular details.
Responsibilities
- Understand all customer service functions and perform all Project Manager duties proficiently.
- Manage small projects of varying complexities, ensuring they progress on schedule and within budget.
- Partner with Shared Services teams:
- Customer Service to release orders
- Creative for design, design intent, strategy, and presentations
- Graphic Center to determine print substrates and production methods suited for each project’s final use
- Design Development to select materials and production methods that meet design intent for fixture projects
- Procurement for purchasing outside products
- Logistics and Installation to determine timelines, shipping methods, and on-site implementation
- Seek out developmental opportunities and participate in internal and professional training.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with print vendors and internal print facilities.
- Attend and/or assist with press checks and installations.
- Monitor costs and strive for cost reduction and increased profit margins.
- Ensure consistency and quality control throughout the process so delivered orders are within budget and on time.
- Assist in coordinating logistics, packaging, and shipping of products/projects at vendors and warehouses.
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
- Travel may be required depending on the client and scope of work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, negotiating, and estimating.
- Prior print industry experience in roles such as purchasing, estimating, and/or customer service is strongly preferred.
- Basic inventory control knowledge is preferred.
- Strong project coordination and communication skills.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work: Lifting a maximum of 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to lift and/or push up to 30 pounds with mechanical assistance.
- Requires stooping, kneeling, bending, manual dexterity, repetitive hand and arm coordination, and finger dexterity.
- Requires vision acuity (far and near) with depth perception.
- Sitting 75% of the time; standing/walking 25% of the time.
