About the role

Lawrence Hall, a distinguished non-profit and community-based human services organisation founded in 1865, is seeking a dedicated and organised Project Manager to join our team. For over 150 years, we have been committed to helping children, youth, and families heal from the effects of trauma. Our work in foster care, mental health services, special education, and community support empowers young people to build resilience and thrive. This is a Full-Time position based in San Francisco, California, United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and leading projects from ideation through to completion, ensuring they align with our organisation's mission and are delivered on time and within budget. This role is crucial for driving strategic initiatives that enhance our services and extend our impact within the community.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Track project progress using appropriate tools and techniques, providing regular status reports to management.
• Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Perform risk management to minimise potential risks and create contingency plans.
• Foster strong relationships with all project stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within the defined scope, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience in project management, preferably within the non-profit or human services sector.
• Excellent organisational skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• A solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2).
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred; a professional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) would be a significant advantage.
• A genuine passion for the mission of Lawrence Hall and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families.

Pay

$25 - $50 per hour
