Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in enriching project work in your area of expertise and in bringing forward-thinking solutions to clients.
- Manage studies to define client needs and supervise research activities to obtain relevant data.
- Oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, and perform advanced financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data.
- Apply knowledge of business principles and industrial organization to develop actionable recommendations.
- Supervise work including strategic due diligence, Consumer insight/primary research studies, change management plans, and evaluation of long-term investment opportunities.
- Manage client contact and play a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.
- Deliver formal presentations to management and persuade senior clients to take action.
- Provide “thought leadership” to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements.
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and grow the business.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise within the Consumer Industry, with a preference for experience in CPG or Retail topics.
- 2-3+ years consulting experience, with 1+ years at a team lead level, ideally in Consumer sectors.
- Track record of collaboration with senior executives and comfort delivering formal presentations to management.
- Strong management and communication skills, with the ability to bring together all stakeholders and persuade senior clients.
- Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking.
- Ability to develop leading-edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value.
- Must thrive in a hypothesis-based environment where inductive reasoning is the norm.
- Proven ability to manage client engagements and relationships.
- A combination of management and “hands-on” delivery experience is critical.
- A solid track record of building strong client relationships with large organizations.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Chicago, Minneapolis, or Detroit.
A technical degree is nice to have but not required. A degree from a top-tier institution is preferred.

Pay
The base compensation for the Project Leader role is $225,400 in USD. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution.
