Project Lead (C)

About the role

SimIS Inc. seeks a Project Lead to manage projects providing combat system simulation support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD) at Dahlgren, VA. The team will support the Warfare Analysis and Digital Modeling (M) Combat System Simulations Branch (M33) to provide high fidelity simulation systems and enable engineers to verify Combat Systems' performance in desktop environments and at Land Based Test and Training Sites (LBTTS).

Responsibilities

• Coordinating large scale engineering, integration, and maintenance of computing infrastructure in support of complex combat system, modeling and/or simulation systems.
• Coordinating system engineering, software development, integration and testing, and system deployment activities.
• Engaging in job estimation activities unique to their projects.

Requirements

• Ten (10) years of general combat system experience in one or more of the following disciplines: combat systems design/engineering, combat system computer program development, combat system certification, combat system simulation engineering, combat system operations and Life-Cycle support.
• Eight (8) years specific experience as follows:

• Experience in coordinating large scale engineering, integration, and maintenance of computing infrastructure in support of complex combat system, modeling and/or simulation systems.
• Experience in the coordination of system engineering, software development, integration and testing, and system deployment activities.
• Experience includes job estimation activities unique to their projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
• Program Management Certification such as PMP or similar.

Skills

• Strong project management skills.
• Experience with combat system simulation and verification.
• Ability to coordinate and manage large-scale engineering projects.
• Knowledge of system engineering, software development, and testing processes.
