Project Lead 3

Location: Austin, TX 78751 (Hybrid) – 12-month engagement with potential for extension.

About the role

Lead and manage moderate to complex technical projects, particularly in data engineering and AI adoption programs. Oversee all project phases—planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, specification development, project monitoring, and status reporting. Ensure alignment among business, engineering, and AI stakeholders while supporting platform and data engineering initiatives, including data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and track project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and success metrics.
• Manage cross-functional teams and deliverables; report status to stakeholders and executive audiences.
• Handle project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial status reporting.
• Utilize project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet for tracking and documentation.
• Facilitate collaboration among data engineers, developers, analysts, and business partners.
• Translate complex technical concepts for business and executive stakeholders.
• Apply working knowledge of SQL, cloud platforms, data systems, and enterprise applications to support planning and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, CCDA, HL7) and data governance in regulated environments.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, charters, schedules, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• PMP certification (required).
• Additional certifications (PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, TOGAF, Cloud Solutions) preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience and familiarity with AI/ML, digital transformation, and information management principles highly desirable.
• Proactive leadership, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
