About the role

We are recruiting for a mid-level Interior Designer with experience running Multifamily projects from inception to completion. If you are an experienced multifamily designer who wants range, ownership, and a direct line to the people making the decisions rather than being one small piece of a large firm, this role was built for you. You will also learn an approach to multifamily design you will not find anywhere else. Firm

Responsibilities

  • Translate the client’s vision into complete interior design packages for multifamily communities across garden, mid-rise, and high-rise developments, from concept through construction and installation
  • Produce FF&E specifications, schedules, material boards, and construction documentation
  • Develop multisensory design narratives and presentation materials alongside us
  • Work directly with clients, vendors, consultants, and project teams
  • Lead site visits, field verification, installations, and punch walks
  • Help build our Revit standards, workflows, and documentation systems as we continue our transition into Revit
  • Keep projects aligned with design intent, budget, and timeline

Qualifications

  • A client-first instinct. You listen closely, understand what the client is reaching for, and use your skill to elevate their vision rather than replace it.
  • Real passion for the work and the confidence to share your point of view, with expertise we can learn from.
  • Ownership and follow-through. Once you understand the vision, you can run with a project and keep it moving.
  • Open and curious. You pick up a new approach quickly and make it your own.
  • At least two multifamily projects taken the full distance, from vision through SD, DD, and CD and into the field.
  • Mid-rise or high-rise experience matters most, since these take years to complete and the complexity is where real judgment is built.
  • Garden-style work is welcome, but on its own it is not enough.
  • Strong Revit proficiency is required. You will play an active role in helping establish standards, workflows, and best practices as we continue our transition into Revit.
  • You also work confidently in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Enscape is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a closely related field.
  • NCIDQ certification, or progress towards it, is a plus.

Why us?

  • Direct access to the principals and a real voice in where the studio goes
  • You will work directly alongside us on client strategy, design development, presentations, site visits, and business growth
  • Real projects waiting for you from week one
  • Real ownership of your work, not a sliver of someone else’s project, with room to take on more as you grow
  • A hand in shaping and scaling the systems we already have in place as the studio grows
  • Our intention is for this position to grow into a Senior Interior Designer role as the studio grows. We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career and help shape the next chapter of the firm.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Retail plan
  • Paid time off
  • Annual company performance-based bonuses
