Job Description
The HVAC Project Installer supports the installation of commercial HVAC systems and metal building components, contributing to efficient, safe, and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of metal insulated panels, ductwork, and roofing systems.
- Support bending, fitting, and installation of metal flashing and structural components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide installation work.
- Measure, align, and assemble materials to ensure precision and quality.
- Communicate discrepancies in plans or materials to team leads.
- Absorb duct layout and prepare for installation.
- Support equipment setting and rigging operations using proper signals and safety procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites while adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with multiple trades to ensure project success.
- Accurate and efficient installation support with minimal rework.
- Consistent adherence to safety standards with zero incidents.
- Timely completion of assigned tasks within project schedules.
- Strong teamwork and communication with crew members and supervisors.
Qualifications & Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One to five years of construction, HVAC, or sheet metal experience is preferred.
- A basic understanding of HVAC systems and airflow (supply, return, exhaust) is necessary.
- Familiarity with tools, materials, and installation techniques in commercial settings is beneficial.
- Knowledge of rigging signals, welding, or fabrication is advantageous.
- The ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team is essential.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- The ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions is required.
- Exposure to construction noise levels (90+ decibels), mechanical systems, and equipment is common.
- Frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, and lifting are part of the job.
- The ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed, is expected.
