About the role

As Project Installation & Commissioning Manager (Project ICM), you will coordinate the Installation & Commissioning phase of the complete project scope of supply, from Project Handover until Project Execution Closure. Projects typically include power generation equipment but may also include gas turbine-driven compression applications and third-party scope. You will lead installation and commissioning activities to ensure customer satisfaction and fulfillment of contractual, budgetary, and directive goals. This role involves managing several projects in the Americas region from our Orlando office.

Responsibilities

  • Support Global Project Manager(s) in leading negotiations and execution of Installation & Commissioning (I&C) contracts for projects in the Americas.
  • Monitor and follow up on offshore project activities in construction yards to ensure accurate status reporting before equipment arrives in the Americas.
  • Monitor the I&C budget, assess deviations from the contractual scope, and forecast time and cost according to plan. Provide updates to Global Project Managers for management reporting.
  • Forecast, plan, and reserve internal/external Field Service Resources (including vendors) to support scheduled I&C activities. Maintain continuous communication with resource providers.
  • Acquire local required documents such as visas, work permits, and sea passports, and conduct mobilization briefings for new Field Service Resources prior to site deployment. Conduct regular site visits.
  • Ensure compliance with local Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures as covered under the scope of supply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent (foreign degree accepted).
  • 4 to 6 years of Site Supervisory Management experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, with a focus on Installation & Commissioning of rotating equipment (onshore and offshore).
  • In-depth Gas Turbine experience. Experience with gas turbine-driven centrifugal compression applications is an advantage.
  • Proven strong leadership skills with decision-making and multi-tasking abilities to complete I&C activities within time, material, and budget constraints.
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-regional collaboration.
  • Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
