This role is part of the Construction Management function, ensuring all deliverables of construction projects are completed on time.
About the role
As a Project Inspector/QA Manager, you will oversee and supervise installation and construction activities onsite to ensure successful, timely delivery and completion. Many projects will take place during non-business hours and are scheduled for third shift to accommodate the client.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite to provide direct oversight and supervision of construction activities.
- Review the status of work completed during the period and confirm alignment with approved drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with internal and external program stakeholders, including third-party vendors, contractors, and site personnel, to coordinate and drive projects to completion.
- Monitor, observe, and evaluate construction work to ensure general conformance with the contract and that the contractor meets quality requirements.
- Prepare daily reports and provide updates to the Construction Manager.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your job discipline and broad knowledge of related disciplines.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with company RISE values.
- Build consensus and convince others to reach agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies; explain difficult or sensitive information.
- Perform other duties as required to ensure successful, timely delivery of all projects.
Requirements
- Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- BS Degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Specific working knowledge and experience in project or construction management or a related profession.
- Proven experience and comfortability working onsite and previous managerial experience with the ability to motivate others.
- Good understanding of reporting requirements and experience in writing and providing management reports.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); experience with Kahua is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
