Project Hope Board Certified Behavior Analyst

About the role

The BCBA manages a caseload of clients, providing Applied Behavior Analysis services, developing and maintaining therapy programs, and ensuring consistent parent training and RBT mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Assess incoming clients for treatment using various assessment tools and provide clinical recommendations for weekly treatment hours.
• Develop individualized therapeutic programs addressing client goals, drawing heavily from NET principles.
• Maintain all client programming to ensure it is current, accurate, and reflective of each client's active treatment plan and clinical goals.
• Support RBTs via mentorship and training for children on their caseload.
• Provide supervision for 5-10% of an RBT’s supervision hours.
• Direct work with clients, modeling skills for RBTs or clients as needed.
• Complete and submit required documentation, including SOAP Notes, Evaluations, and Progress Reports in accordance with practice guidelines.
• Coordinate care with other professionals and disciplines.
• Supervise at least one student earning their BCBA fieldwork hours, if necessary.
• Mentor and train new team members as requested by the Clinic ABA Director.
• Participate in weekly meetings with the clinic’s ABA team, as needed.
• Maintain a targeted caseload.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
• Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Experience working in a clinic setting.

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop RBTs and future BCBAs.
• Competence with a variety of computer applications.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of ABA assessments.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Ability to learn and implement de-escalation skills for client sessions.
• Ability to lift or carry 30 lbs.
• Ability to work in a variety of positions, including on the floor during play-based therapy.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel within assigned region for training, meetings, and supporting client coverage needs.
