Responsibilities
- Organizes and plans projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Serves as liaison to outside contractors to schedule and follow-up on work.
- Visits project sites regularly to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and checks for quality, safety, and negative air issues.
- Aids in the review of construction and remodeling project plans and specifications.
- Ensures projects comply with specifications and requirements.
- Attends plan review meetings with architects and engineers to gain a better understanding of the project and ask relevant questions about construction functions.
- Performs quality control functions.
- Plans, assigns, schedules, and coordinates the daily work force on the job site.
- Instructs and trains employees in the safe operation of construction equipment and tools.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience working in construction trade areas.
- Depending upon department of hire, a valid, State of Utah Driver's License may be required.
This position involves very physical work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects. The position may involve moving heavy equipment and/or supplies.
