About the role
You will act as the Single Point of Contact overseeing supplier performance for assigned projects with respect to delivery progress and drive on-time delivery of all equipment and materials. This role involves developing, implementing, and tracking mitigation plans to address potential risks and issues within the supply chain that could impact supplier performance and project schedules.
You will support project execution through the initiation and leadership of Supplier Performance Review Meetings in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders. Using available supplier performance data, project schedules, and progress reports, you will identify and escalate potential risks and issues within both Linde’s and suppliers’ organizations to ensure timely resolution.
Additionally, you will collaborate globally with the Expediting organization to identify supplier performance risks, close gaps, and implement corrective actions to support successful project execution. You will monitor critical purchase orders, track supplier commitments, and coordinate mitigation activities with Project Management whenever schedule risks or delivery issues arise.
You will facilitate internal supplier progress meetings with Project Management, Engineering Leads, Expediters, and Logistics teams to review status, resolve issues, and define recovery plans when required. You will also prepare and communicate supplier progress reports for customers and project management, providing clear visibility of risks, opportunities, and overall supplier performance.
Other responsibilities include developing and maintaining Project Expediting Plans to ensure on-time delivery, reviewing and analyzing monthly supplier progress reports, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead and coordinate a team of expeditors assigned to projects, providing guidance, prioritization, and support to ensure effective execution of project objectives. Furthermore, you will conduct supplier progress review visits at manufacturing facilities to verify production status, assess supplier performance, and ensure alignment with project delivery requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five to seven (5–7) years of experience in manufacturing in a leadership role or five (5+) years of experience in supply chain management.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, processes, and industry best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business productivity tools for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
- Intercultural experience and the ability to effectively operate within a complex, global, and rapidly changing business environment.
- Ability to collaborate across functions, regions, and organizational levels while building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and senior management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Proactive mindset, high level of accountability, and the ability to identify risks and drive timely solutions to support business and project objectives.
