About the role

SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection, and lighting design. We are engaged in projects ranging from local community improvements to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects, delivering a wide range of solutions for public-sector clients. This role will oversee various MTA C&D transit projects, ensuring successful construction and overall project delivery while maintaining client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of large-scale multidisciplinary rail construction projects
  • Managing the overall project team, including budget and schedule
  • Serving as the primary point of contact to the client on all project matters
  • Taking overall responsibility for construction management
  • Ensuring overall project delivery and quality
  • Identifying and recommending candidates for the rail/transit team
  • Leading pursuits of rail/transit projects, serving as technical lead on key pursuits
  • Participating in strategic positioning for major regional project opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or similar field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Certified Construction Manager
  • 20+ years of experience in rail construction projects, including stations, line structures, communications systems, and track work
  • Experience with MTA C&D (including NYCT, LIRR, MNR), Amtrak, NJ Transit, and PANYNJ
  • Experience with design-build projects

  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate new clients, identify opportunities, and win work
  • Strong relationships within the industry, including agencies, consultants, and contractors
  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for projects and personnel
  • Excellent communication skills and work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead and support business development and proposal activities
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical requirements, outline tasks, manpower, and equipment needs, establish fees, scope, and project budgets, and create project schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to administer project data and reports, communicating verbally and in writing to all parties involved

Pay

Expected salary range is $187,200 – $301,600 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
