About the role
SI Engineering, P.C. (SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection, and lighting design. We are engaged in projects ranging from local community improvements to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects, delivering a wide range of projects for public-sector clients.
Responsibilities
- Overall management of large-scale multidisciplinary highway/bridge construction projects
- Managing overall project team, including budget and schedule
- Serve as primary point of contact to the client on all project matters
- Overall responsibility for construction management and inspection
- Responsible for overall project delivery and quality
- Identifying and recommending candidates for the highway/bridge construction inspection team
- Identifying, strategizing, and winning new projects
- Leading pursuits of highway/bridge projects, serving as technical lead on key pursuits
- Participate in strategic positioning for major regional project opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar
- Licensed Professional Engineer in New York
- 20+ years of experience in complex highway and bridge construction
- Experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, PANYNJ, NYCDDC, and other local clients
- Experience with design-build projects

- A demonstrated ability to cultivate new clients, identify opportunities, and win work
- Strong relationships within the industry including within agency, consultant, and contractor community
- Ability to take ownership and be accountable for projects and personnel
- Excellent communication skills and work ethic
- A demonstrated ability to independently lead and support business development and proposal activities
- A demonstrated ability to evaluate the technical requirements of segments of individual projects, outline tasks, manpower and equipment requirements, establish fees, scope and project budgets, and outline a project schedule
- A demonstrated ability to administer all project general and technical data and reports to communicate verbally and in writing to all parties involved
Pay
Expected salary range is $187,200 - $301,600 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on the individual’s qualifications, skills, experience, and physical work location.
