Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports and contributes to the budgeting, pricing and estimating data for project bid – full support capabilities for AGT preconstruction services
- Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project staffing requirements
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with industry contacts
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with AGT client base
- Reviews and negotiates contracts in whole – full understanding of contract terms and conditions, bond requests, insurance requests, billing requirements, certified payroll, warranty requirements, etc.
- Participates and leads contract negotiation meetings for scope, schedule and terms and conditions with client
- Understands and interprets the scope of work required and defines a plan to execute the work including proper delegation to assigned project personnel
- Led and coordinates design meetings with clients, architects, engineers, owners and consultants
- Understands necessary, strategic and critical decisions that may or may not represent the best interests of AGT
- Able to define problems, collect relevant and meaningful data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Able to examine and understand a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic format
- Able to review and act on abstract variables
- Integral role developing glazing systems that meet or exceed project specifications and design requirements; will also require vast experience in modifying existing systems to meet said criteria
- Effective contract review and negotiation skills
- Effective and organized review of project bid and “as-sold” documents and Sales recaps
- Write, manage and execute large scope purchase agreements and subcontracts
- Developing and maintaining project schedules in compliance with AGT Schedule Management SOP
- Early phase planning with client – sequence planning, delivery schedules, etc
- Mentoring and indirect supervision of Project Coordinator and/or Project Manager staff
- Drive and monitor project specific initiatives and planning
- Project Management of multiple projects, simultaneously
- Project Management of projects greater than $20M in contract scope value; with or without additional Project Management support
- Superior delegation of responsibilities
- Superior communication to all members of project team; internal and external
- Superior time management skills
- Superior level of project data organization
- Sound financial management using planning, systems, and controls
- Meet with and assist Operations Manager weekly for collaborative status report
- Collaborate and assist Operations Manager on accurate monthly project financial updates; roll outs and projections
- Works with General Superintendent ensuring field operations are meeting labor goals
- Develops and maintains project specific labor tracking
- Develops and maintains project specific manpower and/or resource loaded schedules
- Full awareness of project schedule, resource requirements, project issues, etc. with ability to clearly identify and communicate these items to Operations Manager
- Excellence in all phases of the project lifecycle
- Develops and maintains quality control and quality assurance programs for field and shop
- Travel may be required – 30-40% of time
