Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level direction across multiple high-value projects, ensuring alignment with firm objectives, client goals, and public-sector compliance requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior client representatives, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.
- Oversee budgets, forecasts, and profitability for assigned projects; lead margin optimization, risk analysis, and financial reporting in collaboration with project controls.
- Negotiate, review, and manage contracts with owners, consultants, and subcontractors; ensure compliance with AIA contract documents, NYC public procurement regulations, and MWBE goals.
- Partner with the VP and executive leadership to identify and pursue new public-sector opportunities, leveraging client relationships to support growth.
- Drive project team performance, ensuring adherence to schedule, safety standards, quality metrics, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and leadership to Project Managers and other senior staff, supporting talent development and succession planning within the firm.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in an executive or senior leadership role.
- Proven track record delivering public-sector projects in NYC (DDC, SCA, NYCHA, DEP, or similar agencies).
- Strong knowledge of NYC procurement processes, MWBE and diversity compliance, prevailing wage, and public contract requirements.
- Demonstrated success in client-facing leadership roles with the ability to develop long-term relationships.
- Expertise in financial oversight, including P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and margin management.
- Proficiency in construction management software: Primavera P6, Procore, CMiC, Textura, and similar platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
