Project Executive

Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Executive to manage large projects, build customer relationships, and support business development.

Responsibilities

- Establish and maintain successful customer and community relationships - Conduct key customer service visits from pre-construction to close-out - Preview proposals and participate in Request for Proposal process - Act as primary customer contact for assigned projects - Support business development initiatives and maintain customer relationships - Provide oversight and accountability for large projects - Manage contract administration, including terms, change requests, and invoices - Maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing for profitable delivery - Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project team

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field - Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction management overseeing large projects - Proven ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects - Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks - Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices - Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level - Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills - Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies - Current driver’s license - Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusive Behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans and their intended use - Ability to travel up 50-75%

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $168,100- $252,200. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
