Project Executive
About the role
The Project Executive is responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination and successful completion of construction projects to meet time and cost objectives with respect to preconstruction, contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, subcontracting and contract administration functions while developing, mentoring and providing overall leadership to the project teams. Position also entails business development process with identification and procurement of new projects, and involvement in internal and external industry initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Enforces safety programs in accordance with policies and laws
- Manages the construction process, including schedule, logistics, and change management
- Edits and guides project team on subcontract terms and conditions
- Led and executed the proposal management process
- Communicates clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats, tailoring messages for various audiences to ensure understanding; communicates and breaks down concepts in an easy-to-understand way that motivates and leads subordinates and stakeholders
- Anticipates and supports team members’ needs through accurate knowledge of their responsibilities, capabilities and workload; participates in staffing coordination for future projects
- Maintains team morale and motivation while ensuring accountability and preventing complacency
- Ensures proper documentation, reporting, and monthly project status updates
- Provides executive level leadership, direction, and guidance across all phases of project development and construction
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent construction experience
- General Contracting experience
- Minimum of twelve (12) years previous construction experience
- Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction project management, including safety standards
- Decision making, research and analytical problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to understand and learn technical systems and processes
- Strong ability to effectively manage and lead junior team members
- Strong ability to organize, assess, and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization
- Effectively balances competing priorities to maintain focus on key deliverables and efficient use of staff and resources
- Project management and scheduling software experience
- Sustainable building experience (such as LEED certified projects)
- Certifications / accreditations (CPR / First Aid, OSHA 30-hour, WELL, ILFI, LEED) preferred

Base salary (or hourly) range for this position is $160,000.00 - $220,000.00.
