Project Executive

As a Project Executive - K12, you will provide leadership and oversight for day-to-day construction, project management, and administration activities. This role assists in developing and implementing corporate policies to achieve established goals and support our mission.
Responsibilities
- Enhance client relationships through award-winning service, follow-up, and successful project completion.
- Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors.
- Collaborate with Estimating and Purchasing in the up-front setup of projects to ensure profitability, client satisfaction, and the best subcontractors for the job.
- Mentor and coach the project team to develop their skills and capabilities by establishing annual performance goals for each direct report.
- Identify and execute new business development opportunities within the industry and across service groups.
- Formulate and develop contract terms with clients and communicate them to the project team.
- Ensure the project strategy is clearly defined and communicated.
- Ensure implementation and compliance of policies and procedures on projects.
- Guide multiple jobs and job teams operationally through pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction services.
- Identify potential risks to clients' ongoing operations and develop plans to minimize and mitigate those risks.
- Review and approve monthly project status reports prepared by the architect and contractor.
- Review and approve all estimates and schedules for assigned negotiated projects and hard bid jobs.
- Supervise subcontract bidding and negotiations, complying with protocols and defined subcontracting plans; approve all subcontracts and major material purchase orders.
- Ensure scheduling procedures are followed and cost control is maintained according to company protocols.
- Lead and supervise project mobilization and job setup, ensuring proper staffing and resources.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and oversee supervision of personnel.
- Review assigned project BFRs (Budget, Forecast, Reporting).
- Maintain positive cash flow and ensure timely progress payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate management reports, including BFRs and fee goal updates.
- Assist clients in negotiating and drafting contracts for review by legal counsel and approval.
- Attend and participate in meetings with clients, architects, and constructors.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in K12 education projects, with a strong preference for delivery of K12 projects in Western Washington under private negotiated delivery and alternative public delivery (GC/CM and/or Progressive Design-Build).
- Graduate of a four-year degree program in construction management or construction science preferred, but not required.
- 10+ years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people to achieve maximum efficiency.

- Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain, moving through construction sites, and climbing ladders and temporary stairways.
- Conduct visual inspections of construction quality and materials.
- Conduct jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion and identify/eliminate safety hazards.

- Duties are not performed remotely; work is completed in an office or jobsite setting.
- Frequent exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
- Occasional exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites.
- Noise levels in the work environment and job site can be loud.
Pay
$195,000 - $290,000 annually (companywide).
