Accountabilities
The Somali Data Trainer will support AI data training initiatives by reviewing image-based tasks, providing accurate annotations, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout project assignments.
- Review pre-assigned questions alongside corresponding images and determine accurate answers based solely on the visual information provided.
- Analyze image content carefully to identify relevant details required to produce reliable "golden" answers.
- Create clear, consistent, and accurate responses following project-specific instructions and evaluation guidelines.
- Identify and report unclear, corrupted, or incomplete images that prevent accurate task completion.
- Maintain quality and consistency across assigned batches of data annotation tasks.
- Follow detailed project guidelines, rubrics, and workflows to ensure reliable data output.
- Complete assigned tasks independently while meeting quality and productivity expectations.
- Contribute to the improvement of AI systems by providing high-quality language and visual data expertise.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong Somali language proficiency, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured instructions in a remote working environment.
- Native or strong professional proficiency in Somali.
- Fluent English proficiency, particularly in reading and writing.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to interpret visual information and provide precise written responses.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and apply guidelines consistently.
- Reliable access to a computer and stable internet connection.
- Previous experience in data annotation, data labeling, quality review, AI training, or similar fields is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.
