About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Project Engineer to join our team. This role involves managing and executing projects related to environmental compliance, permitting, and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare air and emissions permit applications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Create Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans tailored to client requirements.
  • Conduct stormwater and pollution prevention planning to minimize environmental impact.
  • Manage environmental compliance projects from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables meet client and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to address environmental concerns and provide solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental regulations and integrate them into project planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Licensed Engineer (PE preferred) in the state of Michigan or eligible for licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on compliance and permitting.
  • Proven expertise in air and emissions permitting.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing SPCC Plans.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater and pollution prevention planning.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience with environmental site assessments and remediation.
  • Experience with compliance, storm water permits, air permits, etc.
  • Familiarity with additional environmental compliance areas, such as hazardous waste management or industrial hygiene.

Pay

Competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience.
