Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead/manage the planning, design, and production of lift station, pipeline and/or Water/Wastewater treatment systems, overseeing others and providing Project Managers with scopes, ensuring alignment with goals, schedules, and budget
- Lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development following client standards and templates
- Direct development of an action plan and estimate requirements for resources management, labor, materials, and time required to complete project
- Development of deliverables including plans, design reports and technical specifications
- Supervision of junior engineers in evaluation of shop drawings, and oversight of construction administration duties as the Engineer of Record
- Monitor progress of development project and compare actual costs with estimates
- Prepare monthly reports detailing progress and costs for next level management
- Work with Project Managers to develop scope and manhour estimates for various projects
- Review and study existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs
- Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external clients
Job requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Deltek VantagePoint and Smartsheet or similar platforms
- Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team
- Comfortable working and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated
Education and Experience
- B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. License in the state of Florida
- At least 8+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering firm with 2+ years with an active P.E. license
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management and industry standards as it relates to pipeline, lift station, and/or Water/Wastewater facility design
This role requires 4 days per week in office.
