About the role
This position is partially remote. Candidates will be required to work in the office a minimum of three days a week.
Education
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
Registration
- Professional Engineer in the State of Indiana, or ability to obtain within 12 months
Experience
- Not less than 4 years in Water & Wastewater Engineering
Responsibilities
- Efficiently complete a set of contract documents, including Plans, Specifications, Quantities and Construction Cost Estimate
- Conduct meetings, including composing meeting agendas and minutes
- Client contact
- Work and coordinate with other internal departments
- Assist in assembling Supplements, Proposals, and Engineer’s Reports
- Sign Final Tracings
- Meet deadlines
- Alert Project Manager immediately upon realization of a problem on a project
- Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding our clients and company practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must possess strong communication skills
- Must possess excellent organizational skills
- Able to work in a “team” concept and direct the team in an efficient manner
- Able to efficiently work on multiple assignments at one time
- Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Excel and Word and working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Able to efficiently complete an entire set of contract documents
- Must represent the firm professionally in public
- Able to evaluate various water and wastewater equipment and materials
- Able to prepare permit applications
- Able to attend evening meetings with clients as needed
- Must possess the ability to interact with officials at all levels of government
Requirements
- Able to work seated for 9 or more hours per workday
- Able to work 40 or more hours per work week, as needed
- Able to work outdoors traversing uneven or difficult terrain
- Able to travel throughout Indiana including overnight stays
- Possess a valid Indiana driver’s license
- Agree to abide by the personnel policies identified in the Company Policy
