About the role
Serve as a project engineer for the Water and Wastewater Department in the planning, design, and permitting of various water distribution and treatment system projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical project components and schedule/budget review
- Bring technical project components and scope of work to successful completion and client satisfaction
- Perform technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation
- Coordinate work efforts and reviews of work performed by design staff
- Supervise and mentor design team to overall project objectives
- Develop innovative project approach and assist in proposal preparation
- Stay informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization and projects
- Maintain licensure and keep up with industry standards and software
Requirements
- Professional Engineer License, New Jersey preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 5+ Years of related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred), Revit
Qualifications
Must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods as well as provide leadership and mentoring.
Skills
- Technical knowledge of water distribution system rehabilitation, replacement, and extension projects
- Understanding of treatment processes and optimization
- System wide evaluation and recommendation
- Asset management planning

$110,000 – $120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
