Project Engineer - Water Resources

Essential Functions
- Develop, evaluate, and design stormwater management facilities to support municipal and transportation infrastructure projects across RK&K’s vast portfolio
- Analyze and model stormwater conveyance systems and storage designs
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) design of culverts, bridges and dams and produce engineering drawings for stormwater control BMPs
- 1D and 2D Floodplain analysis using HEC-RAS and PCSWMM
- Attend and present project status updates at client meetings
- Provide excellent client services with a focus on quality and timeliness
- Met and work directly with other design team members including project manager, project engineers, design technicians, drafters, surveyors, contractors, inspectors, public agency officials, and clients
- Develop civil engineering plans using AutoDesk Civil3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads and GIS while applying knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards
- Perform field investigations to collect data, field measurements, photographs, sketches, and verify surveys as needed
- Provide office and site visit support for projects in construction
- Lead tasks, plan budgets, manage subcontractors
Required Skills and Experience
- B.S. in Civil / Environmental Engineering or similar field
- Four (4) years of experience in Water Resources Engineering
- E.I.T. registration minimum requirement
- MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Registered P.E. highly preferred
- HEC-RAS and/or PCSWMM experience
- Civil3D/ORD experience
- Pondpack, HydroCAD, or similar stormwater routing software experience
