About the role

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our growing Water/Wastewater Construction team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing water and wastewater construction projects.
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Track project schedules and monitor progress to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Support cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly project reporting.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
  • Participate in project meetings with owners, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Assist with project closeout including punch lists, as-built drawings, warranties, and final documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and quality control requirements.
  • Perform site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve field issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–6 years of construction experience preferred.
  • Experience with water or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Pay

$85,000 - $135,000 per year
