About the role

This role, based in St. Louis, offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of transportation projects to build your technical expertise, gain confidence, and expand your project ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver transportation projects including roadways, intersections, interchanges, and pedestrian infrastructure
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship by responding to questions and supporting the development of junior engineers
  • Participate in quality reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with established QA and QC processes
  • Take ownership of engineering tasks and project components while ensuring alignment with project goals and standards
  • Identify and help resolve technical related challenges through effective communication
  • Respond to contractor questions and support construction phase activities including addenda and project updates
  • Contribute to proposal development, including scope, schedule, and cost estimates when applicable
  • Interact directly with Clients with written, verbal, and in person communication

Requirements

  • A licensed Professional Engineer (PE) ready to grow into more complex, challenging work while continuing to apply your passion for hands-on design

  • Looking to advance your careers toward future Lead Engineer or Project Manager roles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in Missouri or ability to obtain within six months (MUST HAVE)
  • At least four years of experience in civil or transportation engineering design
  • Experience with roadways, intersection, interchange, or pedestrian infrastructure design is preferred
  • Experience with tools such as Open Roads Designer, MicroStation, or Civil 3D
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong technical communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to a variety of challenges
  • Valid driver’s license in your state of residence
