Project Engineer - Structural

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings.
• Aid in the design and analysis of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation.
• Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines during the design process.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate structural designs with senior engineers and project managers.
• Assist in construction administration activities, including shop drawing review, RFIs, and field observations.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Mentor and support professional development opportunities, progressively assuming greater project responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree a plus).
• 5 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment.
• P.E. license in NJ.
• Working knowledge of building codes and structural analysis/design software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, and skill set.
