Project Engineer - San Antonio (Heavy Civil)

Urban Infraconstruction is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Heavy Civil division in San Antonio. We deliver high-impact infrastructure projects that improve communities and drive progress, committed to innovation, precision, and excellence from preconstruction through project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and execution of heavy civil construction projects including roadways, bridges, underground utilities, grading, and concrete structures.
• Support project management teams with scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Track project quantities, production rates, and material deliveries to maintain project progress and efficiency.
• Assist in maintaining project schedules and support monthly progress reporting.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control requirements.
• Support project close-out activities including punch lists, as-builts, and final documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction or related infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with roadway, bridge, utility, excavation, grading, or concrete projects is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as required.
