Project Engineer - OK Water
About the role
The Project Engineer will assist the execution of projects consisting of design reports, studies, technical memoranda, detailed plans, specifications and other related deliverables. The Project Engineer will also assist the Oklahoma Regional Team Leader in managing and mentoring internal staff, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the delivery of quality products that adhere to Garver standardization. This Project Engineer will also be included in client meetings and at industry conferences on behalf of Garver and the Water Business Line.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of projects consisting of design reports, studies, technical memoranda, detailed plans, specifications and other related deliverables.
- Absorb and communicate client expectations to ensure quality deliverables are met efficiently.
- Work closely with clients to ensure quality deliverables are met efficiently.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external clients one-on-one, as a group or in a presentation setting.
- Manage scope, budget, and schedule for a team of project engineers, design engineers, and CAD technicians in the development of water projects.
- Manage project budgets including the development of detailed project instructions, scope of work, level of effort, and associated man-hour estimates.
- Be responsible for time management and work product quality.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projects.
- Prepare and deliver Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans.
- Conduct Construction engineering administration management for local projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil, environmental, biosystems or other related engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 2 or more years of similar technical experience
Preferred
- Passionate about client service and the water industry
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- Strong work ethic and strong communication skills
- Masters’ Degree in civil, environmental, biosystems or other related engineering from an ABET accredited program
