Responsibilities
- Support the planning, design, and execution of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, drainage systems, water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, and capital improvement programs
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and construction documents in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Develop plans, profiles, and details using design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Cook with project managers, senior engineers, and other disciplines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Interface with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and utility providers to support project approvals and permitting efforts
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals during the construction phase
- Provide construction support services, including responding to field inquiries and performing site visits as needed
- Aid in the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and project budgets
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and agency requirements
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in municipal engineering or public infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of municipal design standards and permitting processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
