Project Engineer - Municipal

About the role

Responsibilities

• Play the lead role in the design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for our public and private clients
• Collaborate with other groups/disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients
• Perform design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation
• Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos, and specifications for projects
• Aid with proposals, project budgets and schedules, planning activities, and public involvement and other presentation opportunities
• Oversee the work of EITs or Technicians

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree from an accredited school
• 4+ years of experience in Transportation / Municipal engineering or related field
• PE license or the ability to obtain their license within six months
• Functional understanding of design software packages, preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD
• Ability to prepare, read, and understand construction plans and technical documents
• Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic
