Project Engineer - Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc.

About the role

The Michels Mission Critical team supports preconstruction, internal coordination, project plan reviews, and documentation control across both development and active project phases for the Mission Critical program and project teams. This includes focusing on data center site construction within a fast-moving project environment.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction activities
• Coordinate internally with project teams
• Review and document project plans
• Generate proposal documents and provide quality reviews
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver proposals
• Identify deliverables and work with internal team members
• Review technical documents and support project-specific planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering or related field with 5+ years of related experience in construction
• Exposure to data center construction or large campus/infrastructure developments preferred
• Experience supporting data center site development or heavy civil construction associated with data center campuses or similar large-scale site developments preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and civil plans
• Familiarity with reviewing CAD drawings
• Experience using Procore or similar construction management platforms
• Ability to perform basic takeoffs from plans
• Preferred but not required: PE or Engineering experience
• Ability to identify deliverables, work with internal team members to generate proposal documents, and provide quality review prior to customer deadlines
• Ability to review technical documents, coordinate with internal teams, and support project-specific planning and documentation
• Valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record
• Travel up to 50% is required
