Project Engineer - MEP

Anchor Construction is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team! Responsibilities Work directly with clients to understand operational requirements and develop appropriate MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) solutionsHelp establish project design criteria and MEP standards for design-build projectsWork closely with and coordinate third party MEP design consultantsParticipate in client meetings and communicate information clearly to non-technical audiencesDevelop and review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs that are practical, coordinated, code-compliant, and constructiblePrepare and review engineering calculations, layouts, specifications, and design documentsCoordinate MEP systems with architectural, structural, civil, and other design disciplinesParticipate in design reviews and identify potential issues early in the design processEvaluate MEP systems and alternatives based on cost, constructability, performance, and long-term maintenanceAssist with coordination of equipment, utility connections, building systems, and owner-furnished equipmentWork closely with construction team throughout duration of project to provide engineering support and assist with resolving field conditions and design conflictsParticipate in site visits and construction meetingsReview and respond to RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation related to MEP systemsProvide mentorship and technical support to less-experienced engineering and design staff Qualifications 10+ years of experienceBachelor of Science in Engineering (4-yr degree)National Council of Examiners for Engineering (NCEES) recordPassed Principals of Engineering Exam (acquired Professional Engineer licensure)Maintain professional development hoursExcellent communication skillsDesign-build experienceExperience working directly for or closely with a general contractorExperience with industrial, manufacturing, warehouse distribution, or commercial facilitiesExperience with BIMProficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office From our founding, Anchor Construction has been an innovator in project administration and construction management.
