About the role
Candidates shall have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of applicable local, county, and state rules, regulations and industry practices. Familiarity with public bidding procedures and Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 5:34) is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Actively manages technical project components as well as schedule and budget review and understanding. Serves as the technical Client liaison to bring the technical project components and scope of work to successful completion and to the Client’s satisfaction.
- Design of HVAC Systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
- Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specifications, and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
- Develop equipment data sheets, bill of materials, submittal reviews and approvals, etc.
- Coincides work efforts and reviews of work performed by design staff. Supervises and mentors design team to overall project objectives.
- Develops innovative project approach and assists in the organization and preparation of proposals.
- Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization and project
- Develops standards and guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining licensure and keeping up with industry standards and software.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of hydronic HVAC/ Refrigeration, Fire Protection, and Plumbing code including, but not limited to ASHRAE, NFPA, and IBC standards.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- PE License.
- 6-8+ Years of related experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD. Experience in AutoCAD MEP preferred.
- Experience in NavisWorks and Revit preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Schedule
The work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Pay
$95,000 – $115,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
