General Summary
Apply engineering principles and procedures to the design and implementation of assigned engineering projects.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or other 4-year technical degree and related experience.
- Prior work experience in pulp & paper industry preferred, but not essential.
- Adequate knowledge of engineering principles and procedures.
The Essential Functions of This Position Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Prepare scope and cost estimate for assigned projects.
- Maintains compliance with ISO Quality System responsibilities.
- Develop an engineering, procurement and construction strategy for each project.
- Design and implement approved projects.
- Monitor and control project scope, schedule and cost.
- Manage project construction.
- Coincordinate project commissioning and start-up.
- Communicate project status to operations and maintenance.
- Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance to identify and solve routine problems.
Compensation And Benefits
- Starting salary range for position: $84,400 to $127,200 annually.
- Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
- Paid Holidays.
- Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
- Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
