Project Engineer-Mechanical

Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide construction engineering services on several simultaneous federal projects.
• Responsible for site observation and reporting on multiple assigned projects to government personnel.
• Provide technical and administrative support.
• Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities.
• Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements.
• Deliver recommendations to government personnel regarding compliance with contract provisions.
• Review and interpret plans and specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders and claims.
• Prepare daily detailed reports covering all pertinent factors affecting cost and engineering considerations.
• Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
• Interact with client and contractors with a professional presentation and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.
• Experience with “Large” projects (construction value of at least $100 million).
• Previous experience with US Army Corps of Engineers projects is preferred.
• Experience on projects with government clients, preferred.
• Experience with Large "campus" type projects is preferred.
• Mechanical Systems experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering; construction and contract administration experience.
