Project Engineer - Laredo, TX (Heavy Civil)

Key Responsibilities

• Aid in the planning and execution of heavy civil construction projects including roadways, bridges, underground utilities, grading, and concrete structures.
• Support project management teams with scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking.
• Prepare and manage Request for Information (RFIs), submittals, change orders, daily reports, and project documentation.
• Cover with field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate with field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Track project quantities, production rates, and material deliveries to maintain project progress and efficiency.
• Aid in maintaining project schedules and support monthly progress reporting.
• Affirm compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality control requirements.
• Support project close-out activities including punch lists, as-builts, and final documentation.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction or related infrastructure projects.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with roadway, bridge, utility, excavation, grading, or concrete projects is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as required.
