Project Engineer III- Mechanical
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer III to join our Engineering & Design team. About the Role
Project Management Documents project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions.
Learns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures.
Contributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
Manages own workload to deliver assigned tasks on time and in the budget.
Identifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Develops familiarity in mechanical systems design, including calculations, airside systems, piping systems, equipment selection and multi-discipline coordination.
- Performs engineering calculations, design, and drafting tasks.
- Produces design drawings and building information models for construction.
- Pursues an understanding of the technical foundation of design activities and decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
- 3-5 years of HVAC design experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Professional level proficiency in Revit
- CAD/BIM tool experience highly preferred
- Famillying with Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python, InDesign, IES-VE, and/or other software tools welcome
- Onsite construction experience highly preferred
- CAD/BIM tool experience preferred

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this position is $39.20 - $62.31 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is considered non-exempt and will be paid hourly. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
