About the role

The Uncrewed Air and Land Systems team in Hunt Valley is seeking a motivated, self-driven, and organized Project Engineer to join our growing group, working on innovative products within the air and ground robotics domains. This interdisciplinary role involves supporting the full life cycle development of our products, including new product development, product upgrades, payload design, integration and test, and fielding solutions for military and commercial customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Program Management to tightly control program schedule and budget
  • Resolve schedule, resource, and technical conflicts
  • Navigate and lead multidiscipline teams through unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions
  • Collaborate with functional managers to organize and delegate key tasks
  • Act as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications
  • Chair (or delegate) responsibilities to execute change control boards for your project /product
  • Absess risk and approve Test Readiness Reviews
  • Develop discretionary funding plans and requests outlining program needs for successful execution
  • Provide recommendations to senior management regarding critical risk acceptance
  • Develop proposals (cost and technical) and basis of estimates for new business opportunities
  • Manage and control system configurations and bills of materials
  • Development and delivery of program technical CDRLs
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Requirements

A strong desire to take ownership of design efforts to ensure the integration of new technology into our vehicles is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, graduate degree in engineering or management disciplines desired
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Development of systems architectures and concepts of operations
  • Experience in program planning, control account management, and risk management
  • Experience in leading internal and external programmatic and technical reviews
  • Experience in proposal processes and basis of estimate review

Skills

Experience in hardware and/or software integration, managing requirements derivation and allocation, and working successfully within a collaborative team environment.
